Where is The Salt House located?

The Salt House is located in Marion, Massachusetts, a charming seaside village on Buzzards Bay. We’re 20 minutes from Cape Cod’s Bourne Bridge, 35 minutes from the Martha’s Vineyard ferry in Woods Hole, and 45 minutes from the Nantucket ferry in Hyannis. We’re about 1 hour and 10 minutes south of Boston.

How many guests can the cottage accommodate?

The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 guests in two bedrooms: a primary bedroom with a king bed and a second bedroom with two twin beds. There is also a cozy sunroom with a reading nook.

Is there really a private beach?

Yes! The Salt House has direct access to a private white-sand beach on Buzzards Bay. It’s steps from the cottage and exclusively for guest use.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 2:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request depending on the booking calendar.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available on the property.

Are pets allowed?

We do not currently allow pets at The Salt House.

Is the cottage close to Cape Cod?'

Yes! Marion is just 20 minutes from the Bourne Bridge, the main entrance to Cape Cod. From here you can easily visit Falmouth, Sandwich, Chatham, Hyannis, Provincetown, and all the Cape’s best beaches and restaurants.

Can I take a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard from The Salt House?

Absolutely. Drive 35 minutes to Woods Hole and take the Steamship Authority ferry (45 minutes). Walk-on passengers don’t need reservations. You can spend a full day on the Vineyard and be back at the cottage by sunset.

Can I take a day trip to Nantucket?

Yes. Drive 45 minutes to Hyannis and take the Hy-Line high-speed ferry (about 1 hour). It’s a comfortable day trip with plenty of time to explore the island.

What kitchen amenities are included?

The kitchen is fully stocked with Bosch appliances, OurPlace cookware, William Sonoma cooking tools, a Breville Creatista Pro Nespresso machine, and a Breville AirFryer Pro oven. We provide coffee, tea, and basic cooking staples.

What bedding and bath amenities are included?

We provide Leesa mattresses, Quince linen bedding, down and down-alternative pillows, Rejuvenation towels, and Public Goods bath products. The bathroom features a deep ceramic soaking tub and Grohe rain shower heads.

Is there WiFi?

Yes, high-speed WiFi is available throughout the cottage.
